This meeting will focus on industry and FAA activities, initiatives and planning in response to reports and recommendations on the MAX and type certification processes.  We will present the results of a GAMA/AIA hosted industry stakeholder review session which categorized the findings and recommendations from the Joint Authority Technical Review (JATR), DOT Special Committee and NTSB reports and identified industry perspective of priority issues and initiatives. Some are existing initiatives which will be briefed to the TPC such as the GAMA flight deck human factors WG regarding inconsistent FAA/EASA interpretation of §25.1322 regarding cautions & warnings; and implementation of manufacturer Safety Management Systems including an update to the industry SMS standard.  We will have a joint session with FAA Aircraft Certification and Flight Standards to discuss FAA plans and initiatives and coordination with stakeholders.  In addition, GAMA's legislative affairs team will provide an overview of various provisions being proposed by the US Congressional committees and outlook for possible outcomes impacting the FAA certification process, requirements for manufacturers and delegation systems.
