The next-generation Praetor 600E business jet received simultaneous certification from Brazil’s ANAC, the FAA, and the EASA, clearing the aircraft for entry into service. Embraer announced that the approvals came earlier than expected, helped by the jet’s close relationship to the original Praetor 600, which entered service in 2019. First customer deliveries are planned for 2029. The updated super-midsize jet introduces new cabin technology as its headline feature, including a 42-inch 4K “Smart Window” display designed for video conferencing, streaming, and external camera views. Embraer says the cabin can be configured as a meeting or entertainment space, reflecting a broader push to modernize onboard experience while building on an already established aircraft platform. ... In preparation for its hydrogen-powered R66 first flight, Robinson Helicopter Company is refining the fuel-cell system that will eventually power the zero-emission version of its R66. Building on ongoing flight tests, the modified R44 demonstrator has moved beyond initial hover and ground runs to more advanced flights in Canada, allowing engineers to fine-tune how power is shared between fuel cells and batteries and to assess aerodynamic and stability effects, including those caused by external cooling nacelles needed for thermal management. The company says more work is needed, especially to improve fuel-cell performance in higher temperatures, but insights from the R44 program are expected to directly support the R66’s development as Robinson works toward making hydrogen-powered helicopters viable. ...
