Today, the U.S. Senate confirmed Bryan Bedford to serve as the next Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Administrator. General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) president and CEO, James Viola, released the following statement regarding the confirmation of FAA Administrator Bedford:“GAMA congratulates FAA Administrator Bedford on his confirmation. His decades of industry experience and knowledge, combined with his strong leadership skills, will be called upon to strengthen the agency and oversee the modernization of U.S aviation technology infrastructure. Recently, Cirrus Aircraft announced a $13 million investment to expand its manufacturing facility in Grand Forks, North Dakota. The project will add 30,000 square feet to the existing 165,000-square-foot site to support increased production of the SR Series and SF50 Vision Jet. The expansion, set for completion in the second quarter of 2026, includes new equipment, tooling, and storage space, and is expected to create additional jobs over the next five years. CEO Zean Nielsen emphasized Cirrus’s commitment to innovation and economic development in the region, noting the strong partnership with local officials.
