As the testing of the Global 8000 nears completion, Bombardier has announced that construction of the first production model of this ultra-long-range business jet is now underway. Unlike the modified Global 7500s used for testing, this will be the first Global 8000 built from scratch.During NBAA-BACE 2024 last week, Bombardier’s president and CEO, Éric Martel, shared that the certification process is going smoothly, with nearly 300 hours of testing completed. The Global 8000 will offer incredible performance—8,000 nautical miles of range, a top speed of Mach 0.94, and the smoothest ride in the industry.With service entry expected in late 2025, Bombardier also announced a retrofit kit for Global 7500 owners to bring their aircraft to 8000 standards, which will be available at Bombardier service centers.Have you seen the 8000? ...
