REGULATORS PANEL
On Thursday, April 19, GAMA is hosting a regulators panel on GA aircraft technology and growth.  The session will feature the leaders of EASA and FAA certification and rulemaking and a representative of the Light Aircraft Manufacturers Association (LAMA), who will discuss the on-going effort to rewrite the Part 23 certification regulations globally, a top GAMA priority.

GAMA will ask about the implications for GA aircraft as authorities consider restructuring CS/Part 23 airworthiness specifications and implementation of LSA/ELA concepts with an eye towards simplification and embracing future technologies and how this will reduce the regulatory burden on manufacturers and stimulate a new line of cost effective GA aircraft and equipment.  The panelists will also explore the opportunities for stakeholders to provide input to the regulatory agencies as these efforts move forward. And finally, they will discuss the implementation of the EU-US Bilateral Aviation Safety Agreement as it relates to increased efficiency in the certification and validation of GA products and articles across the Atlantic.
