GAMA NEWS 16-22 For Immediate Release: Jun 7, 2016

Washington, DC—The General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) will hold a jobs rally celebrating how general aviation lifts the Michigan economy on Friday, June 17 at 10:30 a.m. The event will take place at Duncan Aviation’s facility in Battle Creek. Speakers are slated to include U.S. Senator Gary Peters (D-MI) and leaders from Avfuel Corporation, Duncan Aviation, GAMA, L-3 Communications, and Williams International.

A PricewaterhouseCoopers study released last year showed that general aviation supports more than 23,000 jobs and over $4 billion in economic output annually in Michigan. The rally is GAMA’s 15th such event in the United States to highlight general aviation’s strong economic impact on communities across the country. General aviation manufacturers believe in investing in people and products, promoting workforce education and training, and employing veterans.
