Andy Phillips, Manager, Airworthiness and Regulatory Affairs

Andy joined GAMA in May of 2024 from ADS, the trade association for the UK aerospace industry, where he worked closely with the UK Government, UK CAA and international organizations including the FAA and EASA to advocate on issues including airworthiness, sustainability and industrial policy. Previously, he worked for Heathrow Airport, supporting the development and advocacy to regulators and decision makers for the Heathrow Expansion Third Runway program; prior to Heathrow, Andy spent several years working for Members of the UK Parliament, including the Transport Minister and Government Chief Whip. This experience has given Andy expertise across the aviation and aerospace ecosystem, with a deep understanding of the regulatory and policy challenges facing the global industry.

Andy holds a Master of Public Policy from the London School of Economics and a BA in Politics from the University of Nottingham. While growing up home was the UK, Andy was born in Austria and has also lived in France and Germany, before moving to Washington, D.C in 2024.
