The first production Cessna Citation CJ4 Gen3 rolled out last week at Textron Aviation's Wichita, Kansas, facility.The updated light jet, which could enter service as early as 2027, featGarminarmin G3000 PRIME avionics with touchscreen displays and Garmin Emergency Autoland, which can automatically take control if the pilot becomes incapacitated, select a suitable airport, and bring the aircraft to a complete stop. Textron expects the CJ4 Gen3 to be the first light jet to enter service with the system. The aircraft is designed to accommodate up to 11 occupants, with a maximum range of 2,165 nautical miles, a maximum cruise speed of 451 knots, and a useful load of 6,930 pounds. The Falcon 10X ultra-long-range business jet remains on track for certification in 2029, with a second aircraft joining the flight-test program on September 24. Dassault Aviation says two additional test aircraft, both equipped with full interiors, are expected to begin flying in 2027.The Falcon 10X is designed for a range of 7,500 nautical miles and features the Honeywell Aerospace Nexus flight deck, incorporating touchscreen displays, smart sidesticks, a single smart throttle, and increased automation to reduce pilot workload. Rolls-Royce plc has also completed certification testing of the aircraft's Pearl 10X engines and is finalizing its report for EASA, with engine certification expected in 2027.
