Relationship to GA: ASTM International is globally recognized in the development of voluntary consensus standards. Today, over 12,000 ASTM standards are used to improve product quality, enhance safety, strengthen market access and trade, and build consumer confidence. ASTM welcomes and encourages participation from around the world. Through their 150 technical standards-writing committees, they serve a broad range of industries: aerospace, infrastructure, public safety personnel, additive manufacturing, robotics, aviation fuels, and many more. From an aviation infrastructure perspective, ASTM standards support international codes, construction, public safety personnel, and insurance requirements. Their Centers of Excellence for Additive Manufacturing and Exo Technologies are supporting critical research to support aviation manufacturing.
