Avionics maker Avidyne has expanded the capabilities of its Vantage 12 integrated flight display system for legacy Cirrus aircraft by adding broader compatibility and a new digital autopilot option. The latest enhancements are designed to make the upgrade more attractive for owners of older Cirrus SR20 and SR22 aircraft while simplifying the transition from earlier Entegra avionics.The Vantage 12 system features dual 12-inch touchscreen displays, 3D Synthetic Vision, full display redundancy, and a combination of touchscreen and physical controls. It also introduces a new autopilot offering designed to broaden the appeal of the Vantage 12 ecosystem. The Phenom 300EV, the latest evolution of Embraer's best-selling light jet, introduces a range of safety, performance, and cabin enhancements. The aircraft becomes the largest business jet equipped with Garmin Emergency Autoland, while also adding a class-exclusive autobrake system, an Embraer-developed electronic controller with rudder-by-wire capability, and upgraded Garmin avionics to improve pilot awareness and reduce workload. Performance has also been boosted with an extended range of 2,055 nautical miles and an additional 430 pounds of payload capacity, alongside new lithium-ion batteries and LED lighting. The cabin gains worldwide LEO satellite connectivity, an upgraded refreshment center, improved climate control, an odorless vacuum lavatory, and an air ionization system.
