GAMA ADDS CUBCRAFTERS, SIMCOM, AND TAYLOR-DEAL AVIATION TO MEMBERSHIP

WASHINGTON, DC, February, 19, 2013 – The board of directors of the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) has approved CubCrafters, SimCom, and Taylor-Deal Aviation as the association’s newest members. GAMA now has over 80 member companies worldwide.

CubCrafters, founded in 1980 by current owner and President, Jim Richmond, is located at McAllister Field Airport (YKM) in Yakima, WA. CubCrafters’ roots are in the 60-year history of classic taildragger aviation, but its products and services are leading edge.

CubCrafters offers three new, ready-to-fly aircraft. The second generation SPORT CUB S2 is the successor to the original SPORT CUB, the long awaited redesign of the classic airplane that inspired the light sport category. The CARBON CUB SS, a stronger and more powerful version of the S2 with 180 horsepower, is the most powerful LSA aircraft in production. The TOP CUB, with a useful load of over 1000 lbs., is the most capable two-place personal and utility aircraft in its class.

SimCom Training Centers provides advanced pilot training services to aircraft owners, professional pilots and maintenance personnel operating in general aviation, regional, military, government and cargo operations around the world. Headquartered in Orlando, Florida, SimCom operates simulator training facilities in Orlando, Glendale and Scottsdale, Arizona, and Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas. SimCom is the exclusive factory authorized training provider for the Eclipse EA-500 (in the Americas), Pilatus PC-12 (in the Americas), Socata TBM (in North America and Mexico), Mitsubishi MU-2 and the Piper Meridian, Mirage, Malibu, Matrix, Seneca and Saratoga aircraft. Training on one of the company’s two Jetstream J41 simulators is also conducted at the Eastern Airways headquarters at Humberside International Airport in Kirmington, UK.

Taylor-Deal Aviation, LLC (TDA) is a turn-key parts, products, engineering and certification facility for modifications on rotorcraft and fixed wing aircraft. They specialize in VIP and head-of-state interiors, special use military aircraft, avionic upgrades and other custom modifications. With a team of approximately 50 engineers of all disciplines, state of the art manufacturing capabilities and a team of partner companies, TDA provides nearly all types of support to aircraft modification projects. TDA is currently developing several STC’s for GA aircraft and anticipates bringing them to market this year.
