GAMA NEWS 12-44 For Immediate Release: Oct 26, 2012

WASHINGTON, DC, October 26, 2012 – The board of directors of the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) has approved Quest Aircraft and Appareo Systems as the association’s newest members. GAMA now has over 80 member companies worldwide.

Quest Aircraft Company, headquartered in Sandpoint, Idaho, is the manufacturer of the KODIAK 10-seat single engine turboprop utility airplane. The aircraft is built around a commitment to modern STOL design, rugged construction, turbine power, and high useful load. The KODIAK received FAA Type Certification on May 30 2007, and began customer deliveries in December of that year. Quest has seen strong market acceptance in key market segments, including personal use, Part 135 operations, government, and humanitarian organizations.

The KODIAK’s rugged aluminum construction combines superior STOL performance and high useful load. It offers proven turbine reliability with the Pratt & Whitney PT6 turbine engine, is capable of operating off floats without structural upgrades, and has the ability to land on unimproved surfaces. The KODIAK can take off in under 1,000 feet at full gross takeoff weight of 7,225 lbs and climb at over 1,300 feet per minute. Quest has also begun developing a special mission KODIAK, the Air Claw™, in conjunction with Northrop Grumman. For more information, please visit www.questaircraft.com.
