The General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) issued the following statement today upon the establishment of the newly formed General Aviation (GA) Caucus in the United States House of Representatives:
“We are very pleased by the formation of the General Aviation Caucus. We believe that this important group will provide an effective forum for informing Members and their staffs about the impact GA has on the U.S. economy and the many critical issues that could have a serious effect on our industry,” said Pete Bunce, GAMA’s president and CEO. “As an industry that contributes more than $150 billion to the U.S. economy annually and supports more than 1.2 million American jobs, we are encouraged that many in Congress have also recognized the importance of general aviation by joining this caucus. We would like to especially thank Co-Chairmen Congressman Vern Ehlers (R-MI) and Congressman Allen Boyd (D-FL) for their leadership.”
