Cate Brancart, Director, European Safety and Sustainability Development

Cate Brancart joined GAMA in November 2018. As GAMA’s Manager, European Operations and Safety, she is part of the Brussels team that represents the general aviation manufacturing industry before the European institutions (the European Commission, Parliament and EU Member States), as well as the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) in Cologne. Cate’s focus is on policy and communications efforts to improve the conditions for GA in Europe, including better safety data, flight training and access to new technologies.

Cate joins GAMA after attending the largest flight training school in Belgium, where she was responsible for communications, events and marketing as well as managing a GA airfield. In addition, she’s a passionate aviator who co-owns a Piper Arrow, and recently won the Spa Air Rally competition in Belgium. A Belgian national, fluent in French, English and Flemish, Cate received her M.A. from City University in London, UK, and her B.A. from the Brussels Institute of Higher Studies of Social Communications (IHECS) in Belgium.
