The Policy & Legal Issues Committee (PLC) will hold its first meeting of 2018 on Tuesday, March 13^th at GAMA's offices in Washington, DC. There will be an informal committee dinner the evening before the meeting at 6:30 pm on Monday, March 12^th at Brasserie Beck in downtown DC (please note that a portion of the cost will be billed to attendees).  

The meeting is tentatively scheduled to begin with breakfast at 8:30 ET and conclude by 16:00 ET. Lunch will be served. The tentative agenda includes:

• Data Protection and Recorder Technology: FAA panel on voluntarily submitted safety data; committee discussion on use of recorder technology.
• Electric Propulsion, Automation, and Liability: Presentation by Sasha Rao, Partner, Maynard Cooper & Gale, regarding the current and future regulatory and liability landscapes.
• UL AvGas Transition: Briefing by David Oord, AOPA, on PAFI program; discussion of GAMA positions and actions.
• Conflict Preemption and GARA Analysis Project: Review and discussion of Jones Day analysis and recommendations; discussion of GAMA case database.
• AVDEX Update: Update on GAMA engagement regarding the planned FAA aviation maintenance data exchange project.
