Join us in congratulating Textron Aviation on the 70th anniversary of the Cessna 182 Skylane!Since its first flight in 1955, the aircraft has become well known for blending performance, maintainability, and range, serving both recreational pilots and professional operators alike. Over 23,000 units have been delivered, and the Skylane continues to be used by private owners, cadet programs, and training schools around the world. The Skylane was originally developed as a tricycle-gear alternative to the Cessna 180 in response to customer demand. Powered by a 230-horsepower Lycoming engine driving a McCauley three-blade constant-speed propeller, it can fly a maximum range of 915 nautical miles and has a useful load of 1,110 pounds. ...
