At the 2025 Paris Air Show, CAE released its latest Aviation Talent Forecast, projecting that the global civil aviation industry will need to recruit approximately 1.5 million professionals by 2034 to meet growing demand and offset widespread retirements. The forecast includes, for the first time, 71,000 air traffic controllers, along with 300,000 pilots, 416,000 maintenance technicians, and 678,000 cabin crew. The Asia-Pacific region is expected to account for the largest share of this demand. In business aviation, an additional 102,000 professionals will be needed, including 33,000 pilots and 69,000 technicians. This increase is driven by record levels of air travel and a significant wave of workforce retirements.CAE emphasized the urgent need for a stronger and more comprehensive training infrastructure to support this growing demand for aviation professionals. High dropout and failure rates, such as the 30 percent non-completion rate among U.S. air traffic control trainees, illustrate the difficulty in turning candidates into qualified professionals. Marie-Christine Cloutier, CAE’s Vice President of Strategy and Air Traffic Services, stated that skilled aviation personnel are essential not only for safety but also for supporting the continued growth and resilience of the global air transport system. The report calls on the industry to take decisive steps to attract, train, and retain talent across all aviation sectors. We have hundreds of these jobs listed for you on our website at gama.aero/opportunities-in-ga/aviation-job-board/ ... Textron Aviation has expanded its LinxUs Flight Data Monitoring (FDM) program by adding GE Aerospace’s C‑FOQA service as a data-transfer option for Cessna Citation business jets and Cessna SkyCourier aircraft equipped with the Aircraft Recording System (AReS). Now, customers can select among four providers, GE Aerospace’s C‑FOQA, Acron Aviation’s Flight Data Connect, ForeFlight’s Flight Data Analysis, or Safran Electronics & Defense’s Cassiopée, via seamless, wireless data transfer through LinxUs. Designed to enhance operational insights, this system enables real-time fault detection and event alerts, allowing flight crews and Textron’s global support network to proactively address issues and optimize flight safety and performance. ...
