GAMA Welcomes Three New Companies to Membership
Washington, DC – The General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) today announced that its Board of Directors has approved CiES and FlightAware as members, and Lilium as an associate member.
CiES is an innovative technology leader, making a rapid mark in fuel and oil quantity engineering excellence, innovation, quality and reliability. The company is active in advanced design and development of aviation and high value systems and interfaces, focusing on bringing entrepreneurial and cost-effective systems solutions to aviation, helping to solve historically difficult aviation challenges and improving aviation safety. CiES continues to provide fuel quantity solutions for the general aviation sector, working on dramatically improving fuel quantity in light aircraft in both manned and unmanned aircraft, with patented breakthroughs in fuel quantity system design and manufacture.
FlightAware is the world's largest flight tracking data company and provides over 10,000 aircraft operators and service companies as well as over 12 million passengers with global flight tracking solutions. FlightAware leverages data from air traffic control systems in over 55 countries, from FlightAware's network of over 15,000 ADS-B ground stations in over 160 countries, Aireon space-based ADS-B and using global datalink. FlightAware is privately held with offices in Houston, New York and Singapore.
Lilium was founded in 2015 by Daniel Wiegand, Sebastian Born, Matthias Meiner and Patrick Nathen, while they were academics at the Technical University of Munich. The group shared a vision of a completely new type of transportation. In less than two years, Lilium has grown from the founding team to a company of more than 70 world-class engineers, developing and building the world's first fully electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) Jet that has an estimated range of up to 300 kilometers, a cruising velocity of up to 300 kilometers per hour, along with zero emissions.
