Washington, DC—The General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) will hold a jobs rally celebrating the significant contributions of general aviation manufacturing to the Delaware economy on Friday, November 20 at 1:30 p.m. The event will be held at the Dassault Falcon Jet facility at the New Castle Airport. Speakers are scheduled to include Governor Jack Markell, U.S. Senators Tom Carper and Chris Coons, and U.S. Representative John Carney, as well as leaders from Aloft AeroArchitects (previously PATS Aircraft Systems), Dassault Falcon Jet, FlightSafety International, and Summit Aviation.
A PricewaterhouseCoopers study released earlier this year showed that general aviation supports 2,600 jobs and $588 million in economic output annually in Delaware. This is the 14th rally GAMA has held to highlight general aviation’s strong economic impact on communities across the United States. General aviation manufacturers believe in investing in people and products that support the local economy, promote Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) education, and employ veterans.
