Washington, DC—The General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) will hold a jobs rally celebrating the significant contributions of general aviation manufacturing to the Florida economy on Tuesday, April 7 at 2 p.m. at Piper Aircraft. Speakers are scheduled to include U.S. Senator Bill Nelson and U.S. Congressman Bill Posey, as well as leaders from Piper Aircraft, Embraer, B/E Aerospace, Extant Components Group, and Hartzell Propeller.
According to a PricewaterhouseCoopers study released in February, Florida ranked in the top 10 U.S. states in terms of total jobs attributable to general aviation and in the top three U.S. states in total GDP impact of general aviation. The event is the thirteenth jobs rally to highlight general aviation’s strong economic impact on communities across the United States.
General aviation manufacturers believe in investing in people and products that support the local community, promote STEM education, and employ veterans. The Florida General Aviation Jobs Rally recognizes the local companies that lift economic opportunity for all Floridians.
