Flight Global reports that Eve Air Mobility is gearing up its first flight campaign by preparing its engineering-prototype eVTOL aircraft and conducting comprehensive testing using an “iron bird” rig to validate the integration of flight controls, propulsion, batteries, and avionics. The company has engaged Embraer to supply the landing gear for the production-conforming version of the four-passenger craft, and says the prototype is slated to fly by the end of 2025 or early 2026, with certification and service entry targeted for 2027.Read more at the link: www.flightglobal.com/airframers/eve-prepares-evtol-prototype-for-maiden-flight-campaign/165155.ar... ... The IGX Thor platform supports safety standards that enable certifiable autonomy, with capabilities such as autonomous mission management, radar and sensor fusion for environmental awareness, and predictive system health monitoring. This integration will allow Joby’s aircraft to make precise real-time decisions, enhance reliability, and use “digital twin” modeling to continually improve performance, marking a major step toward safe, intelligent flight autonomy. ...
