Walmart and Wing are expanding their drone delivery service to the Denver and Seattle metropolitan areas in 2027, bringing the partnership’s planned footprint to nearly 20 major U.S. markets. The companies say their service already provides drone-delivery access to more than three million customers in markets including Dallas-Fort Worth, Atlanta, Houston and Orlando, and the broader expansion is intended to eventually reach more than 270 Walmart stores and over 40 million customers nationwide. Wing’s lightweight drones can travel at speeds up to 60 mph, carry packages weighing up to five pounds and deliver thousands of eligible Walmart products, including groceries, electronics and over-the-counter medications. AvBrief reports that Arcline Investment Management has completed its acquisition of Continental Aerospace Technologies, ending roughly 15 years of ownership by China’s AVIC and installing veteran aviation executive Keith Chatten as the company’s new CEO. The transaction was reportedly valued at about $523 million. Chatten previously spent nearly 15 years with Continental and later held senior leadership roles elsewhere in the aviation industry, giving him extensive experience with the company and the general aviation market. His appointment comes as Continental begins a new chapter under private equity ownership, with Arcline expected to focus on growth and investment in the manufacturer’s piston engine business.
